Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Prices
Include electricity, central heating, bedding, towels& tea towels. We also include dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, hair dryer and ipod docking and wifi.
2. Occupancy
Your holiday group must not exceed the maximum number of people the property will sleep, for the lodge you book for which is 6 for the 3-bedroom lodges and for the 2 bedroom lodge 4, our 4 bedroom lodges maximum of 8, as detailed on the website. (Unless previously agreed with the Park/Managers/owners). If your party does exceed the maximum without prior consent, the Park management reserve the right to refuse entry and your holiday will be treated as cancelled by you and you will not be entitled to a refund of monies paid or compensation.
3. Arrival / Departure Times
Your log cabin is available from 4.00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am. on the day of departure. For arrivals after 6pm, please liaise with the Park Managers. Please do not arrive before the appointed time, as your cabin may not be fully serviced. Late departure (without prior consent) may result in an additional charge being made.
4. Parking
Parking is available near the lodges.
5. Care of our Lodges
Our Lodges are extremely well cared for.We ask that you treat our lodges with respect and leave them in a clean and tidy condition. Any breakages/damages should be reported to the ParkManager as soon as possible so that we can fix or replace items before the next guests arrive. Any damages caused through neglect will be charged for and you will be contacted.
6. Complaints
Any complaints you have about your accommodation should be reported to the Park manager as soon as possible in order that we can remedy any problems.
7. Unreasonable Behaviour
The Park Management reserve the right to terminate a holiday after the handover of keys – if the unreasonable behaviour of any one in the holiday party is likely to impair the enjoyment/comfort or health of other guests or members of staff. In these circumstances no refund will be given.
8. Large Groups
Group/party bookings. The organizer or party leader is responsible for providing the party details. Should you arrive at the park without notifying us of the required details, we reserve the right to refuse entry to the accommodation. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT ACCEPT STAG OR HEN PARTIES.
9. Your Vehicles
Your vehicles and their accessories and contents are left entirely at your risk. The Park owners accept no responsibility for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle from any cause whatsoever other than the negligence of the owners of Scarborough Lodge Retreat.
10. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the property; this means you must keep the furnishings and fittings inside and outside the property in a comparable state of repair and condition as at the beginning of the holiday. You are expected to show due consideration for other guests, not to abuse the property or display rude, offensive, or dangerous behaviour to the Park Managers/owners, or any other third party.No loud music after 11 pm and no going in the hot tub after Midnight, to be respectful to other guests. Any breach may result in the termination of your holiday with no refund due and no compensation paid.
11. Force Majeure
We the owners of Scarborough Lodge Retreat can accept no responsibility or pay compensation for any circumstances that arise due to “force majeure”. Circumstances amounting to “force majeure” include any event which we the owners could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be repaired before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break in, criminal damage or any similar event beyond our control. Such circumstances also include riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, terrorist activity and all similar situations beyond our control.
12. Liability
Except where otherwise specified in these booking conditions, we the owners of Scarborough Lodge Retreat. accept no liability for any damage, expense, injury, death or loss of any nature whatsoever suffered by any person(s) from any cause whatsoever other than, in the case of the owner (s) the proven negligence of him/herself.
13. Data Protection
In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, representatives of Scarborough Lodge Retreat. will collect certain personal details in accordance with your booking.
14. Hot tub safety rules and agreement
The use of the hot tub is entirely at your own risk. Scarborough Lodge Retreat. request that you read this information on safety and use of the hot tub carefully. It is your sole responsibility to take the time to read the hot tub safety rules below and user agreement. A copy of the rules are also kept in each lodge for you to refer to. For safety and hygiene reasons the lid must be put back on immediately after use. We request guests to be respectful whilst using the hot tub and no loud music after 11pm. 15. Smoking
Our lodges are strictly no smoking, anyone wishing to smoke must do so outside away from the Lodges and decking.
16. Damage
Please report any damage to our Park Managers immediately.
17. Special Requests
Whilst we make every effort to grant special requests, there may be times when this is not possible.
18. Free wifi
Wifi is a free service which is offered for personal use only not business.We cannot be held responsible for any loss of connection or intermittent service which is out of our control. On using this service, it is your sole responsibility to make sure each device is secure and protected. Scarborough Lodge Retreat. take no responsibility for any loss or damage in using this service.
